  supposing you wanted to start your own community project, what would you do

  just supposing you wanted to start your own community project or to do something, anything for other people, and supposing you had a few hours spare each week and some funding to get a project off the ground, what would you ideally like to do?

  would it be that you might like to start an ex witness healing group or similar, or perhaps some theatre production, screen writing etc, or perhaps a recycling project or perhaps helping out elderly individuals in your home area?.

  if you could use your imagination, what would you like to do?

  I would set up a youth project which would give kids from the local council estate something to do other than take speed and nick cars. I have heard of some good youth projects which have taken joy riders and taught them to drive properly with banger racing and they develop some self respect and respect for their community hence making everyones lives better

  Is anyone going to Glastonbury?

  decided on the spur of the moment to try and get some glastonbury tickets yesterday,as there were still 55, 000 left due to the system cock ups... had friends who stayed up til 5am trying on the friday night but none of us had any luck, mind you, with two teenagers and a child it's the equivilent of a small mortgage...did anyone here have any joy?

  i've just had a phone call this morning to say i had sunday tickets , the ones you can get if you live in somerset...ive got a phone number if anyone want to try it... so; if anyone wants to meet up to have a shamanistic dance or two, share moment in the tipi field or help me negociate the toilet block..... i'll be around...

  I am anti Bush and I was and am anti the war. My reasons are not just down to my belief that the war was hypocritical and immoral but because there was little thought put into the post war nation building that has been borne out by the present problems and the repeated reports of Iraqi civilians being offended by the way American troops have treated the Iraqi people leading to higher support of militants. I also think it was unwise to march into Iraq before dealing properly with Afghanistan.

  What I would have liked to see happen was the stabilisation of Afghanistan before this went further, this could have then proved to be an example of how things would be done properly, what has instead happened is that the world has been shown that Bush is not prepared to finish the job properly.

  I think that the truth behind the Iraq attack should have been presented - that Iraq was going to be an object lesson to the middle east that support of terrorism was not going to be accepted any more and that we were prepared to remodel unnacceptable regimes to a situation where they would not present us with a threat of any kind.

  The war was started on a falsehood which has rightly led to the left condemning Bush's actions but I do think that now we have to all work together to produce a democraticly led Iraq where the people have political power rather than trying to impose a puppet regime. If we successfully do ths then we will be going down the road to producing a safer world. At the moment we are fanning the flames of hatred and stirring up the hornets nest even further.

  To remedy this the US needs to be stronger on the hearts and minds war and needs to be seen to be providing the Iraqi people with democracy and a standard of living at least equal to that before the war.

  i've always enjoyed the subtle, soothing sound of the wind chime, being in the organization however requires one to forsake such items because of their origin.

  it has been linked to the ancients as a means of keeping away evil spirits.. upon leaving the organization, one of the first things i picked up upon was a wind chime.

  i enjoy listening to its melodious tune when the wind blows in our back yard.
